Accessibility

Progressive Field complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and offers accessible seating throughout the ballpark on every level. Wheelchair spaces include companion seating and are available in sections such as Field Box (140-164 range), Lower Box, Lower Reserved, Bleachers, Club, Family Deck, Upper Box, Upper Reserved, and View Box areas. Seats without an armrest on the aisle side provide easier access for mobility-impaired guests. Assistive listening devices (AM/FM radios) are available for checkout at Fan Services (Section 153). Noise-cancelling headphones and sensory bags (via KultureCity) can also be borrowed from Fan Services or the Kids Clubhouse. All concession stands, restrooms (including family restrooms), water fountains, elevators, and ATMs are accessible. Wheelchairs are available at gates on a first-come, first-served basis for transportation only and cannot be kept at seats. Service requests and accessible ticket purchases can be made online, via the MLB Ballpark app, by phone (216-420-HITS or TDD 888-331-6774), or at accessible box office windows/kiosks. Drop-off/pick-up is available along Ontario Street.

Animals & Service Dogs

Only trained and certified service animals (including miniature ponies) are permitted to assist guests with disabilities. Comfort animals or pets are strictly prohibited. Service dogs must remain on the owner’s lap or under the seat and cannot occupy aisles. If a service animal is too large for standard seating, the Fan Services Center may provide accessible concourse-level seating when available. All other animals are not allowed entry.

Age Requirements

Children under three years old do not require a ticket but must sit on a parent or guardian’s lap. Booster seats are available for checkout at Lower Fan Services (Section 153) with a valid ID deposit. Children’s seat-location wristbands are offered free at Fan Services locations. Fans appearing 30 years or younger must present valid photo ID (driver’s license, state ID, passport, or military ID) to purchase alcohol; invalid or questionable ID results in no service. Alcohol sales are limited to two beverages per person per transaction.

Bag Policy

Small bags not exceeding 16” x 16” x 8” are permitted, along with manufactured diaper bags, medical bags, fanny packs, and small clutches (with or without a strap). Bags and contents must fit inspection templates without assistance. Larger bags, backpacks, hard-sided coolers, and non-compliant bags are prohibited. All permitted bags undergo thorough inspection. Soft-sided coolers are allowed subject to search, but hard-sided versions are not.

Entry and Security

Entry involves walk-through metal detectors (large metal objects only need removal from pockets) and mandatory bag inspections as part of MLB-standardized enhanced security. Re-entry is permitted only via the dedicated Left Field Gate with ticket rescanning. Strollers must be stored under seats or checked; motorcycle helmets can be checked at gates or Fan Services. Suspicious items or packages should be reported immediately to Cleveland Police. Text security concerns anonymously to 216-350-0508. Guests must comply with screening or accept a pat-down alternative.

Food, Drink & Alcohol

Outside food is generally permitted (subject to inspection) except in premium seating areas (Suites, Discount Drug Mart Club, Victory Club, etc.). Small single-serving juice boxes (one per guest, for kids under 12) and one clear, factory-sealed 20 oz or smaller water bottle per person are allowed; empty plastic bottles are also permitted. Cans, glass, squeeze bottles, thermoses, and insulated containers are banned. No outside alcohol is allowed. On-site alcohol sales end after the seventh inning (or three hours after first pitch) at most stands but continue later in select premium areas. Dietary accommodations (gluten-free, vegetarian, etc.) are available at concessions, though allergen-free items cannot be guaranteed – fans with severe allergies are encouraged to bring their own food.

Payment Options

Progressive Field is a fully cashless venue. All purchases (concessions, merchandise) require credit/debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or the Guards Wallet (via MLB Ballpark app). Reverse ATMs (cash-to-prepaid card, no fee) are located near Fan Services (Sections 153 and 572), Left Field Gate, and the right field neighborhood area. Prices exclude sales tax.

Photography and Recording

Personal cameras and video recorders are allowed provided they do not interfere with the game or other fans. Lenses must be under 100 mm (or 6 inches fully extended); tripods, monopods, selfie sticks, and camera bags are prohibited. Professional or commercial photography/recording requires prior approval and is restricted. Copyrighted team logos, names, and player likenesses may not be resold. All equipment is subject to inspection.

Prohibited Items

Prohibited items include (but are not limited to): weapons/firearms (including pocket knives; off-duty law enforcement has a specific declaration process), large bags/hard-sided coolers, outside alcohol/illegal drugs, cans/glass/squeeze bottles/thermoses, aerosol cans, laser pointers, noise-makers (air horns, whistles, cowbells), poles/sticks, brooms (except whiskbrooms or inflatables), inflatable objects, action sports equipment (skateboards, rollerblades), electronic cigarettes/vaping devices, chewing tobacco, wrapped gifts, portable fans over 5V DC, headdresses/face paint appropriating American Indian cultures, and any item deemed a safety threat. Fans may return prohibited items to vehicles or surrender them to security.

Smoking Policy

Progressive Field is a smoke-free facility. Smoking, including electronic cigarettes, vapor cigarettes, and any device mimicking smoking, is prohibited inside the ballpark and on concourses. Designated outdoor smoking areas are available outside the venue. Violations may result in ejection.
